Find Help, Find Hope!

Miles for Mental Health & Wellness Walk and Symposium

WHY WALK IN 2020?

1 in 5 Americans are affected by mental illness. 50 percent of mental health conditions begin by age 14, and 75 percent of mental health conditions develop by age 24. Yet, fewer than 1/3 of adults and 1/2 of children with a mental health condition receive services and treatment in a given year. Early engagement and support are crucial to improving outcomes and increasing the promise of recovery.

Miles for Mental Health & Wellness Walk & Symposium (MI4MH) is a public, active display of support for people affected by mental health conditions. This is one important way we are changing how Americans view people with a mental illness; bringing together families, individuals, coworkers and businesses to help raise funds, combat stigma and promote awareness.

Saturday, September 19th we will join together for our Annual Health & Wellness Symposium, followed by our walk.   It’s not too early to get started.  Help us bring our community together, one step at a time.
